Beginnings

Where are we at?

For our capstone group project, we are working on writing a story about a topic related to the Yukon. The story we came up with is on the international student experience. This story allows for the view of international students to be learned about. We have decided to show this through many individual stories on around 16 students. The other way is an overview video where we have specific overview questions that are kind of the “hook” questions for viewers to become more intrigued about the stories below. These overview questions include some like:

What do you miss most about where you are from?

What do you like most about being in the Yukon?

Why did you choose the Yukon of all places?

To date we have: come up with all the questions we will be asking students, we have decided to interview 3 or 4 students each (for a total of 12-16 students’ stories), we have laid out the questions on paper in a kind of a form format for us to fill out for each student. This coming Friday we will test out these questions on fellow classmates to get an idea of how long each interview will be. Possibly also begin interviewing actual students.

As for my personal project I currently am still trying to figure out what I want to do. possibly something with illustrator, web design or music. I also need to put some time into my WIX website.
